The whitening strips have become fairly popular these days. It is a sure upward trend and some even expect that this market will become bigger than the sales made with whitening pastes. The actual reason is obvious; they are so easy to use and it is cheaper than other methods.

These whitening strips are actually new on the DIY teeth whitening market. With these strips you don’t need professional help in order to whiten your teeth. This will be reflected in the price you pay for it (translated “Sbiancamento denti costo” in Italian). At the same time these whitening strips won’t make the same mess you get with pastes. So basically you don’t need the pro’s to whiten your teeth while you can expect fantastic results at the same time.

The slim strips are to be placed over your teeth and make sure you have all the flexibility you want. In these strips there is bleach, which make contact with your teeth. You will see that there are strips for the upper and lower teeth, which enables you to do them at the same time at once. You place them over your smile line of your teeth. Other methods will touch other area’s of your mouth as well, but these strips will only bleach whatever the strips are attached upon. You will need to leave these strips on your teeth for a specific time frame. During this time you can do whatever you want to do; your homework, shopping or even while you go to bed in order to get some sleep.

The main ingredient within these strips is carbamide peroxide. Other strips may contain hydrogen peroxide. The carbamide peroxide has only 6% strength to it, while the normal range would be 10% to 20%. The disadvantage of this low strength is that it will a few weeks in order to see some results, but at the same time it is much safer to use.

The only thing you really need to do is to use them consistently for a longer time period than other products that are used by dentists. The advantages are that these strips are very comfortable and maybe even more important, it is the best method for people who have sensitive teeth and gums.

Another reason why they are so popular is the fact that they are very thin, which will result in lesser agitation to the jaw than you can expect with trays as they are much more bulkier. At the same time you will not experience a gagging reflex you can expect with the usage of trays if you don’t do it correctly. As you can imagine, you don’t want this happening while wearing a tray while you are busy with your ordinary household chores. With the strips you can rest assured that this will not happen with them.

But you need to know this as well. The strips are accompanied with adhesives. They tend not to stay sticky enough. If this happens the strips tend to get losen at times. You will need to re-apply them when this happens.

Although the results are great, it is also fair to say that you won’t achieve the same results you can expect when you are going to a professional office in order to whiten your teeth.

The results can vary from person to person. For this reason many companies are trying to improve the quality of their product on a constant basis. But potential users of the strips should be aware that the results are not as good as when done by a dentist.

Plactic strips are great for DIY persons. The trays have been designed and used by dentists.

The dental strips are perfectly safe to use but you should not have the same expectations you should have when going to the dentist. If you are looking for the perfect smile, you really only should consider the dentist. Whitening Tips:
